Jess Corser is a 22 year old event rider, who is lucky to have a family run yard in beautiful surroundings.  Based in South Leicestershire, with access to top training centres which is ideal for producing horses of all levels.

 

She grew up with horses, and although she attended  local shows and a few dressage competitions, she didn't try eventing until 2013.  There were a handful of events, not always successful!  Then 2015 saw the purchase of SS Blazer, and that's how her event career was born!

Blazer has been a super first event horse, teaching her well and as a partnership they completed Barbury 3* (old 2*) making Jess the youngest rider to complete a 3* at just 15 years old.

​

After leaving school at 16, she decided to ride horses full time.  Along the way there have been schooling liveries, a couple of ponies brought on to sell, a nice three year old filly that was broken in and sold to Ireland for young horse classes.  Jess has produced some ROR horses for dressage and eventing that have since been sold on to new homes.

​

To the present day, there is a nice string of horses developing in the 'Eventers Lounge' providing her with many top 10 placings.  The 2019 season produced a steady flow of good results, notably winning her first International at Brand Hall resulting in being longlisted for the Junior Europeans. 

 

2019 saw Jess finish 15th in the Goldman Cup league which is specifically for under 21's and joining the Youth Development Squad with Moangarriff Duke.

During 2020 and 2021 the seasons were rather disrupted.  2022 saw a more normal season, horses campaigned at relevant age classes.  The older, more experienced horses headed off to the higher level events and internationals.  A few new ones appeared rather unexpectedly too!   We also had our biggest investment to date - the installation of a 61 x 33 indoor arena!  This has been a huge help with training for the babies up to the 4* horses.

Jess enjoys producing horses from 3 years up to 4*.  There is a selection of 'children' in the field as well as a couple of broodmares.  Over winter there are always a steady flow of horses being assessed to see if they are eventers.   She enjoys going out hunting with the blood hounds, which is where you can find her most Sundays during the off season!
